Floods Hit Bandar Lampung

     Recently there has been an unexpected event in Lampung province especially in Bandar Lampung.
Flooding has occurred in some areas in Bandar Lampung a few days ago. This flood hit the town because of heavy rains from Thursday ( 24 January ) afternoon to evening with high intensity was felt residents never happened since January 2013 that hit the port city of Lampung. flooding caused by drainage less well, and drains were not large enough to accommodate the discharge of water flowing, and because of the people who are not orderly and throwing trash out of place. Floods inundate several protocol roads in Bandar Lampung, including Jalan Kartini, Jalan Sudirman and Jalan Z.A Pagar alam. Flooding in Jalan Kartini exactly in front of the Central Plaza Mall reaches a height of 1 meter and this floods cause jamming in this road up to 300 meter.



    Still on Jalan Kartini exactly in front of Panin Bank floods levels reached up to 1 , 2 meter. This is because in front of Panin Bank there is a path in the form of the basin so that the basin has a capacity discharge enough water to reached up to 1 , 2 meter. Floods that hit in the port city of Lampung doesn't stop here, This flood also hit a hospital in the port city of Lampung. The hospitals affected by the floods is Abdul Moeloek hospital. The floods that hit this hospital was reached a height of  20  to  25  cm. The result of this incident  is the patient's hospital should be removed from flooded floor to higher floor by medics. And the medics had to save and move the medical equipment to move to a higher floor and more secure from water flooding.



     On the ground floor of the mall kartini also submerged in flood water. The floods in this place reached up to  40  until  60  cm or reach adult knee. This water flooding come from water channel that clogged by trash. Until saturday ( 26 January ) high-intensity rainfall in the region is still going Lampung especially in the port city of Lampung. The residents are still afraid of aftershocks flood and always wary when a flood occurs again. Estimated flooding that occurred in parts of the city airport lampung on Thursday evening last week until saturday has damaged public facilities, and has been soaking approximately 1. 250  homes, and has claimed the lives of two children affected by the wall that eroded rainwater. After this incident, be expected that Bandar Lampung  government rearranging and rebuild all of drains and water channel in this city, so that in the future it will not happen anymore. And expected Bandar Lampung will be beuatifull city in the future, amin.
